We just wrapped four days at Dallas Market, and our booth stayed busy from open to close — boutique owners from 19 states came through, from Texas and Louisiana up to Montana and the Dakotas. Racks were shopped, tags were pulled, and a clear picture emerged of what stores are buying for fall. Here’s the recap.
What led the buy
Four themes dominated the order forms:
- Statement knits. Novelty sweaters were the runaway story — our Tiger Jacquard Knit Sweater Cardigan was the single most picked-up style of the show, and intarsia animal motifs kept selling all four days.
- Western & heritage shirting. Pearl-snap denim, plaid snap-fronts and embroidered blouses — the western shelf needed restocking every morning.
- Barn jackets & shackets. Corduroy-collar barn jackets and plaid-lined flannel shackets were the outerwear buy of the season.
- Easy wide-leg bottoms. Balloon-hem cotton pants and patchwork camo cargos rounded out nearly every order.
What Texas boutiques gravitated to
Texas was our largest buyer group at the show, and the Lone Star buy had its own personality: heavier on western denim shirting, barn jackets and cowboy-motif knits, with comfort-washed sweatshirts and knit lounge sets as the everyday layer. If you buy for a Texas or Southern boutique, that western-heritage lane is where we saw stores reorder deepest.
